So hungryyyyy - February 8th, 2009

I want something I can put hot sauce on, but things like that generally need to be cooked

Maybe I should just drink it right out of the bottle. It's just so damn good...! If it's not smothered on like ketchup, there's not enough on. Hot sauce dipping sauce would be awesome. But ya. This is going to be a busy week at college. Gonna have to rely on my 2 5-layer beef burritos with extra hot sauce a day to keep me goin. They're like my coffee. But with cheese, beans, more cheese, beef, sour cream, and hot sauce. Oh gawd it's so good. And so cheap. $1.79 per burrito, and these things are loaded with deliciousness. Taco Bell, the greatest fast food restaurant on the planet. All hail the taco!

The plot thickens~ - February 7th, 2009

It's like going from pudding to syrup, woooooo

Finally getting to main plot relevant pages instead of just joke after joke. Also, I decided to start practicing for the transition to colour (Still got a handful of problems to work out, so it won't be colour for a while), and am now using non-repo blue for mass structure instead of pencil, which means no more visible lines inside the characters~. But man am I hungry. Enjoy the new page, I'm going to go raid the cupboards... Although I'm probably stuck with this half-finished bag of Ruffles

Also, my email inbox is feeling lonely. No new fan mail for like... 3 or 4 days. lol. I remember back when I got my very first fan email. Wasn't for over a year after starting the comic, now I'm complaining that it's been a few days. lol. Drop me a letter, I always reply :3. Anyways, right. Food.

My buffer!!! - February 6th, 2009

It's gone ;n;

Now I'm actually going to have to draw it myself now. So once this weekend draws to a close (Tuesday for me), daily updates are ending. so sad. I had actually apparently been counting the scrapped chapter 4 pages before, so the number's actually smaller than I thought

obakabible says:
Winnipeg is the province to the west of Ontario
Sonikku says:
And Montreal is the province to the east

And this mod in Oblivion caused infinite copies of me to spawn whenever I tried to pick up the goblin staff (Yet oddly never crashed the game)

Also, taking a step back, I realize I've been using alot of pervy jokes so far in chapter 4... hrm. OH WELL! I'm a dude, it's what I do~

It smells like dyed wax - February 4th, 2009

Like a mixture of Prismacolor and Laurentien...

So college forced me to do a mixed media thing, and the only stuff I had with me were acrylic paints, greyscale markers, and pencil crayons. That made me realize new techniques to make it look all pretty~, as well as keeping them pointy and sharp constantly. Then I was bored in the next class, and since I had no pencil, I used my black pencil crayon, and said "Holy crap. This looks pretty good". So I got out my sketchbook later on and drew Jen and Alishaa for a test. Obviously I should use my non-repro blue pencil for mass structure next time, but I think it looks pretty. And characters with large amounts of shading (*cough*software*cough*) take exactly the same amount of time anyway

So I'm thinking that maybe later on (When college is over and I have more time) I'll start doing full colour when I work out the obvious kinks those tests show. Although I'm still waiting to hear back from the $50 donator dude for which side-arc he wants. And remember, if you have monies you can donate and support the monies I'll need for my pencil crayons~

'til then, toodles!

SHEPARD. - January 26th, 2009

WREX... Wait... WHERE'S WREX?!

So I picked up my copy of Mass Effect 2 at HMV (Unlike EB Games, they aren't douchebags who ask a 20 year old for ID no one accepts) between classes today and finally got to play it 7 hours after purchasing it. And I must say. It's exceeded my expectations, which is very difficult for a full $69.99 game to do

And about KK2... I couldn't find a proper way to mention this tiny point in the comic itself because to be honest, I've kinda forgotten what they're supposed to be saying. But yeah, they're in the basement. It's Sonia's main entertainment area as well as her bedroom being in the basement. Just lettin ya know

Now for quick review of Mass Effect 2 so far...
Pros: Great story so far, graphics are improved (Or maybe I just played it on medium settings on PC too long, because ME1 already had amazing graphics), pistols are good and accurate, more aliens, and I do enjoy the new hacking minigames. Also, you can wear a full face helmet if you like. Oh hell yes.
Cons: Easier than ME1 due to regenerating health (Medi-gel is for reviving now), and I'm not overly fond of Miranda (Although, I was never fond of Kaiden either, so...)

I highly recommend this stuff so far, but I'm going to have to beat this TWO DISK adventure before I can make a real recommendation. Gonna be fun~!

So borrrrrrrrred - January 25th, 2009

gfykfhyefrad

All I did today was watch Friends, go to the mall for 2 hours, watch Friends, played Morrowind for 5 minutes, watched Friends, bought another season of Friends, watched Friends, played Doki Majo Plus, watched Friends, uploaded this update, and I imagine there's more Friends episodes to come

OH JOEY. ARE YOU GOING TO BE ABLE TO KEEP RACHEL IN YOUR APARTMENT WITH THE BABY ON THE WAY, AND IS ROSS GONNA GET THE GIRL? IS PHOEBE GONNA BE ABLE TO KEEP HER BOYFRIEND AWAY FROM HER TWIN SISTER? AND CHANDLER, YOU ARE WAY COOLER THAN I REMEMBER BACK WHEN I HAD CABLE. I THOUGHT THE "Why do they call them cheque? Why not yugoslavia?" JOKE WAS HILARIOUS...

OH GOD WHAT AM I DOINGGGGGGG I SHOULD BE AT THE COLLEGE BAR PICKING UP HOT AND SEXY CHICKS!... BUT...

brb watching more Friends

Sugar gliders omgggg - January 24th, 2009

2 comics because I was a tweedle and forgot yesterday

omg sugar gliders are so cute. I want one. Also, because I'm a tweedle who feels no shame and is literally $1000 richer than he thought (Grants are a wonderful thing) I bought some fancy (by fancy I mean the cheapest) audio cables and can now stream console games. Yay. If anyone is interested in watching a live stream of Mass Effect 2 when it comes out Tuesday (With yours truly with real-time commentary and bad jokes), let me know via email. Or any of my bountiful PS3 games

And I want a sugar glider so bad. They're so cute!!! And omg it can fly and omgggggg imagine if it flies across the room and lands on your shoulder or hand or whatever omgggggggggg

Fight Night at Sheridan - January 22nd, 2009

Ragin' like a cajin because I didn't want to wait 5 hours for it

There was a fighting game tournament back at college at 6:30 PM, and the games were SF4, Soul Calibur 4, SSBB, and BlazBlue. Winner gets half of all the money gained and 2nd gets a vague prize. I so would have won the BlazBlue division. Curse my impatience

So ya, enjoy the update

Interesting Fact: Armadillos can get leprosy

I'LL BE THERE FOR YOOOOOU - January 21st, 2009

New chapter; new style

That's quite a shift in drawing style, eh? It quickly morphs as I learn the do's and don't's of drawing that way, it looks good to my eyes by about page 5. But hey, I'm always my hardest critic (Except maybe my sister)

I also bought Season 9 of Friends from HMV because I always like having a show going while drawing, and I needed a break from Corner Gas. I must say though, I didn't realize Friends had as much continuity as it does, the whole first disc (8 episodes) felt like a long continual plotline. Next you're gonna tell me Seinfeld has continuity too? Yo ho ho

And one more thing. Borderlands!!! While I do appreciate having second wind save my arse, not only does it make the danger kinda go away, but second winds generally a one-time deal, not...

- Fight boss
- Lose all HP
- Kill one of many weak minions
- Repeat until boss is dead

One is fine, but unlimited second winds? Casual mode enough? And being shot doesn't even decrease the countdown to your death. huwgfaudj.

Borderlaaaands - January 20th, 2009

Oh, and here's the end of chapter 3

SO I PLAY THIS GAME. AND FOR LIKE FOUR MILLION YEARS, I'M NOT EVEN THE MAIN CHARACTER. I'M ROXAS. SORA'S THE MAIN CHA-

o wait, wrong game

SO I PLAY THIS GAME. And I'm all "hey awesome graphics, cel shaded with pencil shaded textures, I love it". Then I see the character select screen. I look, and (quickly) narrow it down to Mordecai and Lilith. So I check what their unique abilities are, and after seeing Phasewalk's (move much faster and invisible for a short time), I immediatly pick Lilith (Plus she's got the same name as Morrigan's sis in Darkstalkers). SO I PLAY THIS GAME SOME MORE. I see CLAPTRAP. I think KLAPTRAP. So the whole time I'm shooting my way through the tutorial I'm all "WHERE IS DK, KLAPTRAP". A few hours later I start learning the game and its "lolololol zillions of guns". Mm yesh, if you consider BRM Rusty Repeater with about 1000 different tiny bonuses has 1000 different guns. Just gimme addons to boost accuracy/damage and I'm happy (Reload speed and firing rate can kiss my arse)

SO I PLAY THIS GAME EVEN MORE. After doing a few bounty quests, I take a step back and go "HOLY HELL. I'M PLAYING OFFLINE WoW!!!". That is what the game is, no if's and's or but's about it. 1-4 player WoW with guns. In Fallout's setting. With less black humour (Morbid, masochist, sadistic, not the variation of the human race of the same colour)

All in all, it's good, sure, but it's too much like WoW and inferior to Fallout. But hey...

At least Borderlands has vehicles

Heavy is credit to team! - January 19th, 2009

Because he's the only one doing work!

(No sketchbook bonus ;n;)

So in my 2D design class, we're the unlucky ones who have to present the first week (It's one group per week until the end of the term), so the one girl in my group is all "WE NEED TO FINISH THIS OMGGGGGG" and the other girl is all "It'll be fine!". The latter girl did a little bit of research for her person (We're each doing 3), enough so that I only had to fill in descriptions of 2 paintings and the guy's whole biography (We do a biography and 3 paintings per dude), and agreed to be the primary spokesperson for the presentation (With me filling in the "uh..." and "um..."s). The drama queen on the flipside was all "TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIM I DUN UNDERSTAND THIS", and I kid you not...

I got so sick of her whining I did her entire person for her while she was sitting there ripping her hair out because she couldn't figure out the difference between Suprematism and Constructivism

And I did my own dude, of course

Lesson of the story: Never freak out over work. Having something done wrong is better than having nothing done at all (Not saying I did anything wrong, but just saying~... yo ho ho)

*clears throat*

MY COMPUTER IS BACK AND IT'S ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!

Happy days, happy days!!! I've been enjoying my higher end games like Oblivion and... um... WoW...? Either way they're more than anything my laptop can handle lol. So happy~!

This morning I was going to rant about something, but I've forgotten, so I guess I'll let you go early today. Enjoy the comic, and as a heads up, tomorrow's gonna be a late update.

(Sketchbook bonus will be delayed a few hours on account of delicious Hot Stuffs, PAIN (The PSN game), and LBP)

I swear to god, if I hear one version of that song, my mind will think the lyrics of the other. Not much else to say though, because I really want to go eat. The aroma is filling my room and making my mouth drool

SHE'S ALIIIV-oh wait... - January 16th, 2009

wait wait wait-oh, nope, she might as well still be dead

Sketchbook bonus #7 (DeviantArt link)

So I bought 3 GB of RAM in hopes of fixing my computer because dad says that's the only problem. Stick them in, fire it up, gets stuck at some Intel thing. Without any investigation, my dad proceeds to tell me to buy a new motherboard that I can't afford. So he buys one for me because he owes me money. Puts it in, realizes it only has 2 RAM slots so that's $40 effectively wasted on a stick of RAM I can no longer use

After raging for a while and some hardware swappin, we plug it in. And it reached my desktop and I was all "OMFGGGGG YAAAAAAAY!!!". My bliss was short-lived, as I soon discovered that there was a driver error with 2 things. The network plug, and the CD Drives. So I ask my dad (He had already went back to his place), and he says "put in the driver cd". Drives don't work. "download the drivers". Internet doesn't work.

HRMMMMMMMMMM...

After an hour and a half of me rewiring everything and getting my hand sliced to bits trying to plug in/pull out plugs, nothing changed, so I just generally raged at everyone on my MSN list, then sent the computer off with my uncle to give to my mom to give to my dad so he can fix what he goofed up (He did the swap, not me)

Gonna go eat then try and find a game that doesn't cause me to get ape-shit angry now and then like my favourite/newest games (Demon's Souls, Street Fighter 4, BlazBlue) so I can have some fun. I miss yesterday at college, it was so much fun... Unlike all these recent events... ;n;

Time for runch break

Sketchbook bonus #6 (DA's being a jerk, I'll have it up with the next bonus)

So my Japanese teacher this semester has a major case of Engrish, with often hilarious results (Panasonic makes good prasma tv's). Shame my only friend in the class slept in and missed it, lol

Today at college was a really good day, so I come back in high spirits and my aunt starts going all "i tot u were payin 4 rent". Hrm, ya, but I don't recall agreeing on the price she said. Well considering I mooch their internet, electricity, entire room, and raid their cupboards when I don't have enough cash for chips or didn't have enough time to eat after college, I thought paying the monies was fair, so I was all "Oh, sorry. I'll get you the cash when OSAP comes in, what do I owe you?". She counts it, and (I ain't saying how much it was) I notice her count the 3 weeks I was at home for. I ask, and she's all "Well your bed's still here". Normally I'd argue, but I'm kinda boned if I get kicked out of here... So I decided to make the best of it

I removed my self-imposed internet usage limit and now I've got gigs of torrents goin now~. Make me pay extra, I'll consume your internet use like a sponge. Bwarharharhar. That'll teach you

Tomorrow and Sunday may have no/late update. I'm getting my main PC fixed!!! WHEEEEEEE!!!!! If I do miss it, you get a double dose of comics the next day plus a 3rd sketchbook bonus. But we'll see how things turn out. Toodles! Interesting Fact: 20252 is Smokey the Bear's own zip code

*bone crunch* SHORYUKEN - January 14th, 2009

SF4 for $15? Sure, why not

Sketchbook bonus #5 (DeviantArt link)

Heads up, like most days this week, tomorrow's gonna be a late update. These 8 AM classes are brutal... jdkslaef

Speaking of classes, I heard the results of the strike vote. 57% overall voted yes

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

So unless the management of the education system or whatever calls a meeting within 4 weeks, it's no school for Timmy for god knows how long. So mad. At least I have my shiny new (and cheap) SF4 for a GOOD SYSTEM (I have it on PC from a Steam sale, but my PC can't keep it at 60 fps). Gonna go ATOMIC BUSTER some asses while I rage at the school peeps. I'd better get a refund for what I miss, or I'mma atomic buster each one of them myself

Interesting Fact: Nutmeg is extremely poisonous if injected intravenously

Oh noesssssssss!!! - January 13th, 2009

I do not like the odds my school presented

Sketchbook bonus #4 (DeviantArt link)

kso I've been hearing in newspapers and such that Ontario colleges are planning to go on strike. At first, I thought "They're just being stupid whiners, and I barely see this in the news, it's not a big deal". Then I'm walking to my class today and pass by the table where the faculty hands in their votes, and I nearly shit bricks when I saw the rate of votes

???'s Institute of ???'s faculty have already voted 97% in favour of a strike

Shiiiiiiiiit shitshitshitshitshit. If they go on strike they had better give us some god damn money back, I didn't pay thousands of dollars for greedy assholes to stop working because they want more hours and benefits. They should just be happy to have jobs in times like these. Gawd damn

I can't even get back to my normal job until the college term is supposed to end. skhfuregkja. Strikes have been annoying the crap out of me since mid-2009, but now it's actually going to cost me money. And as far as I know, we students gain nothing from the demands of this strike. Greedy assholes

Interesting Fact: In Texas it's illegal to put graffiti on someone else's cow

New Sonic game plans? - January 12th, 2009

I'll stick with my Sonic 2

Sketchbook bonus #3 (DeviantArt link)

As fun as a HD 2D Sonic game sounds, I know Sega too well. They're gonna botch the hell out of it. srsly. Having Chip, Shade, Big, Vector, Charmy, Espio, Amy, Shadow, and really everyone not named Sonic is just stupid if you're going retro style (Except maybe Tails, but him and Knuckles weren't even on the contest list)

But hypocrisy runs in my family and Sonic and the Black Knight is the only Sonic game thus far I have not run out and bought on launch day (And damn good thing too, that game is worse than eating horse shit), so as long as it's not called "Project Needlenose" at release or something even worse (Is that possible?)

Time to go watch my favourite movie ever that I managed to find. Red Green's Duct Tape Forever! AWWWWWYEAH!

Interesting Fact: To escape the grip of a crocodile's jaws, push your thumbs into its eyeballs. It will let you go instantly

You require more... - January 11th, 2009

DEEEEEEEEMON'S SOOOOOOOOOOULS

Sketchbook bonus #2 (DeviantArt link))

So my friend tells me to buy Demons Souls. So I ask him to pay for part because I'm skeptical about full priced games. He pays for half. I take it home. I play. I die. I play. I die. I play. I realize I lost about 15 levels worth of SOULSSSS because the game never told me that you have to talk to the Black Maiden more than once to level up. At least my 3rd file managed to level up after level 1-1. sakdhaduew

AND THAT ARMOUR SPIDER. I'm melee only at the moment because I don't even have enough DEX to use a bow, but the only advice he gave was to use a bow, and ditch my 5-6 thousand souls (3 or 4 level ups worth) and go get a fire resistance ring (Which by the way is obtained by KILLING A DRAGON (with a bow)). So ya, he's no help at all

If you're ever playing Demons Souls and picked Barbarian like me, you kill the spider at melee by blocking all the attacks until it flops down, then wail on its tail part with your weapon in both hands. And run like mad back to the fog if he starts to breathe fire, and avoid web like the plague

Nice to be back to normal, eh? =3

Interesting Fact: Apples are actually part of the rose family

NAAAARUGH UWAHHHH - January 10th, 2009

LIIIIIIIVE DAMN YOU

THERE WILL BE A NEW PAGE EVERY SINGLE DAY WITHOUT INTERUPTION FOR OVER A MONTH, AND ADDITIONAL BONUS SKETCHBOOK DRAWINGS WITH EACH UPDATE AS WELL

EDIT: Sketchbook bonus #1, and note that all of my sketchbook bonus pics are going on my DeviantArt, so go there if you wanna see my thoughts on them and say anything about them

I FINALLY managed to get CS4 deactivated on my main computer (It was tied to the motherboard... Come ON Adobe... You had a keygen made within 3 days, give up the ridiculous security) and thusly installed it on this highly incapable laptop (The installation even continually nagged me that I don't have the 2 GB of RAM), taught myself how to use the shiny 2009's version of Photoshop as opposed to my late 90's version I've always been using. There may be a couple technical errors for the first few days (Wrong colours, bad contrast, odd looking speech bubbles and their glow, etc.) but I'm getting the hang of it

The laptop seemed to handle CS4 all right, and I have over 30 pages sitting around, and there's no way in hell I can sit down and do all them at once, lol. So I thought a daily page until my buffer runs out is the best idea

To all you who have been patient over this hiatus: I'm so sorry for not updating in so long, but hopefully I'll make up for it with daily updates for a long time and bonus sketches. And to Mr. Donator if you're here: I'll send you your pics at the same time I get the sketchbook bonus up for today, I'm ultra sorry it's taken so long. I need a real and reliable computer ASAP... ;n;

Be back in a couple hours (Noon EST is the time right now) with the sketchbook bonus because it's lunch time and I'm out of groceries

For gifts, I got new boots, Disgaea 3, and Soul Calibur 4 from my family; An art book, Sonic the Hedgehog, and booze from my friends; and a 50 euro donation (approx $77 CAN)!!! WHEEEEEEEEE BWEHEHEHEHEHE!!! I love you all!!! Thank you so much!!!

Kitty Komic News
45 days, I draw the line man. I'm taking this repair job into my own hands, my dad's never going to fix it. Once exams end on the 18th, I'll fix it myself. If it's beyond repair (aka CPU really did fry) then I'm going to look into buying a whole new computer. It will resume early January, and there are already 25-ish pages drawn and everything

Anyways ya. Don't forget about my mailing list if you wanna get an email when it resumes! If not, check back sometime in January. Byeeeeeee

Half a month later - November 15th, 2009

And my PC's still as dead as it was before. This is going to be a while... I'm sorry. This site will be as is for quite a while at this rate, and not only would any guess I make about its return have zero chance of being correct, it's probably too much to ask for you peeps to keep checking here. So, here's what I propose

Send me an email at legendarywatermelon@hotmail.com if you would like me to notify you and everyone else when I get this whole mess sorted out. As I've heard alot from fan emails, I'm nicer than most webcomic artists, plus I always reply, so no need to be shy :D. If you don't want an email notification, that's fine by me, but don't expect much (if anything) to be added here. Again, I'm sorry. Maybe you could re-read KK1 or something. lol. Anyway, have fun. I'll see what I can do about the PC repairs

*takes deep breath* - November 1st, 2009

OH YOU STUPID LITTLE MOTHER*&#$ING PIECE OF %$&@$# #$%@!!!!!!!!!!! My main PC's kicked the bucket, or so it certainly looks like it. I've tried starting it up 5 times now but each time it's BSOD'd and startup repair can't fix anything, hence it's a hardware problem. And I know what hardware piece it is. LOOKIN AT YOU, CPU. So I'm stuck on my dinky little laptop I just got a few days ago (Thank god I got it when I did, eh?). I have 12 pages drawn and ready to be scanned, but I kinda need the Photoshop on the main PC. I transfered some Kitty Komic files onto my laptop, and I swear, if I need to make a new KK2 super file, I'm going to be so pissed off. On the bright side, I'm fairly certain the hard drive is healthy, it just needs a new home

But yeah, I'm still really mad at this little pile of fried circuitry. Sorry guys but until I can either get into my hard drive and cancel CS4 on there to put it on my laptop or go home and get Photoshop 5.5, my hands are tied. I'll see what I can do about my main PC's revival, but until then, I'm super sorry but no updates. I'll keep drawing, don't worry, but I can't update. Maybe I'll have like a buffer or something and just put some up each week, lol. But yeah. Toodles... ;n;

PROPER UPDATE

After this week I get next week off college. Awwright... I think. Gunna be a boring break anyway. Anyways ya. Sorry the updates are so infrequent, I really want to do it more, but I'm always spending time with people (Cheyenne, I dun wanna play MapleStory alllll daaaaay ;n;). I don't know how all these peoples can keep a coloured webcomic going during college/university man, it's insane enough as it is. Anyways, toodles until next time

Just came to let you d00ds and d00dettes know that I'm feeling better and will have an update on Wednesday. Until then, I'm going to go enjoy myself! Toodles!
